Lots has happened since I last had time and energy to blog. So instead of one really long blog with lots of topics I will give a short description of each and if you want you can read more or skip it and go on to the next.

There is a risk that 15.4 will be a walkover!
I just got word that I need to be in Dubai on Monday for a meeting…
That means I won’t be able to stay for the entire Swedish Nationals on Sunday. But more importantly it means I might have to walkover The Open WoD 15.4.
I have been in contact with 4 boxes in Dubai, keeping my fingers crossed they have open gym times late on Monday so I can attempt 15.4, but it is not looking good. Most of them seem to have open gym 1400-1600 and then classes until closing. But there were lots of boxes with in 15km of my hotel, so I will keep trying to contact them.

15.2 Rx & Filling in my tattoo
Sunday I get to the Box 40 min before the start of yoga, and warm up for my attempt at 15.2 Rx. I was really happy with my Scaled attempt and decided I could either attempt to do a minimum of 9 reps more to be able to start the next round, or see how many reps of the first round of Rx I could manage. It was the quickest and most mentally tough WOD since I started 3 months ago. Same set up as the scaled with 3 min rounds, but starting with
2x 10 Overhead squats 43kg
10 Chest to bars (C2B)

15.2 Scaled and After WOD with the guys
Week two of the Open was a combo of overhead squats and chest to bars. Lucky for me the scaled WOD was chins instead of C2B and the OH squat weight was 29kg instead of 43kg. A few guys from the box decided we should have an AfterWOD when we had finished 15.2. So most of us were in the box at the same time after work.
After judging one Rx and one scaled it was my turn to give it a go.
3 min rounds of
2x 6 OH Squats 29kg + 6 chins
2x 8 OH Squats + 8 chins
2x 10 OH Squats + 10 chins
2x 12 OH Squats + 12 chins
etc…. As long as you completed all reps with in 3 min you could start the next round.

My conversion to becoming a Swede….
It has been over 14 years since I moved to Sweden. 16 Feb 2001 to be more specific. There are parts of me that will never change, that will always stick out as not being Swedish, but I think that I am adapting well.

It’s tattoo time again…
For nearly four years I have been sitting on a tattoo design, waiting for the right time to get it inked. It was a fun process. I got in contact with an artist Jeff from Pirates Ink Tattoo through my brother. I told him I wanted two Choi in a yin-yang and that it was to be a cover up. After just a day or two I got this sketch.

Full packed weekend and my first strict HSPU today!
Life in the Provencher house would be so much easier with one stay at home parent who didn’t work or workout, or if we had two cars, but it would not be as fun 😉 I love that Jeanette wants to workout and has her four days a week.
After a shortened workweek because of being home with Iris and Viola on Wednesday and Thursday it was Friday as usual for us. Well not as usual, Jeannette’s last appointment canceled so to save time she went food shopping while I got in my Friday Crossfit workout in. We pick up the girls on the way home and then shortly after Jeanette takes Viola to swimming and my and the other two prepare tacos. Cozy Friday night at home with everyone happy.

Benefits of living in Sweden & Feb squat challenge
When I travel with work or catch up with an old friend through Facebook I always get asked “How was it moving to Sweden?” I moved here nearly 14 years ago, 16 February 2001. I made a few friends and learned the language by April 2002. But it wasn’t until the summer of 2005 that I finally could appreciate the Swedish system. That summer Lily was born. Total cost of the pregnancy check-ups and delivery, ZERO!! Yeah, you read that correctly. From conception to birth having a baby in Sweden was 100% free. Lily is almost 10 yrs old and we’ve only had to pay for a few prescription meds. It’s been the same for all three girls.

Back fixed, three fun workouts & my first injury
Tuesday lunch I paid a visit to Leon at Dynamic Training and got my back worked on. It always amazes me how better I feel afterwards. Anyone who trains hard should really get in contact with your local massage therapist/trainer. It really does make a difference.
16+ hrs training, 6+ working days and fun in the sun
My business trip to Dubai was anything but relaxing, but I come home completely reloaded for 2015.
16 hours travel on Saturday with 6 full working days and two half days, then another 16hr trip home.
It’s hard to believe I had time for anything else than work, but I made time. I found time to get 11 work outs in, two trips to the mall, an elevator ride to the 124th floor of the Burj Khalifa, a 6hr desert safari, the Cowboys game at a bar and a total of 8 hrs poolside.
