On Halloween (Saturday the 31st of October) I will be participating in Simma24. Simma24 is a swimathon to raise money for Doctors Without Borders, “Läkare Utan Gränser” in Swedish.

Off to the desert for most of October
Update: New travel dates. I am now leaving home on the 7th and returning to Sweden on the 30th! Great, just what I needed. So instead of getting a week to be in the pool before my 24 hour swim I will land and take the train straight to Göteborg, try to sleep then, wake up and swim longer than I have ever tried before. Good thing my wife is OK with me being away for nearly 4 weeks.
It’s now official that I will be traveling back to Saudi Arabia for just over 3 weeks during October. Continue reading
@goväxjö
Starting tomorrow, Monday, I will be posting pictures around Växjö the way I see it on the @govaxjo Instagram account.
I have no idea what pics to take or post but I hope the people of Växjö will enjoy seeing Växjö through my eyes.
Crossfit Progress
Amazing what three days of rest can do for your body. I spent Saturday and Sunday with the family in Gothenburg. Satruday we were at Liseberg amusement part from just before 11am until nearly 8pm. The next day we visited Universium and were there from 10am until nearly 3pm before driving home. On Monday I visited Leon, since I felt I was mentally over my Ironman race, but that my body was not really on board. Leon was able to gave my body a push towards recovering. so to let that treatment have full effect I rested the rest of the day.
5 days until my last triathlon of 2015
Funny how it is the last, but only the second race of the year for me. For the third year in a row Lily will be racing in Karlshamn. It will be my third time in four years, since I missed the race two years ago with a broken collar bone.

Ironman Tattoo
I didn’t wait as long as I did last year to get a new IM tattoo. But with no swimming again on Thursdays and Liseberg this weekend, that meant no swimming again until Tuesday, so I figured this would be the least intrusive to my fall swim training.
I went back to Old Sailor Tattoo and Macke. I was really happy with the other work he had done for me on my first Ironman tattoo as well as the work he did on my back.

Retired or just a long break?
Back in May I posted about my recent retirement from Ironman races. I even had three people contact me in the first 36 hours of posting it about wanting to buy my tempo bike. So it felt like it was going to be an easy sell.

Is the ability to swim on a decline or are parents not willing to let go…
It’s funny how things change from generation to generation. When I was 10-12 yrs old, every single one of my friends could swim. Whether they were on the swim team or not. And when I say swim I mean swim in the sense they could jump off the 1m or 3m diving board and swim to the side, play “Marco Polo” in water above their shoulders, play “Sharks and minnows” in the diving well of the pool.
Ironman 2014 vs 2015
I originally only planned to write this in Swedish, but since I think some of my English speaking triathlon friends might get something out of this, I will re-post here in English.
This year I crossed the finished line of my second Ironman roughly 64 minutes slower than last years race, which was my debut. Most of my friends were able to go 15-45 minutes faster. What happened to me, and was I happy with my time?

3 days out
Even if I’m not nervous about my results, I’m still nervous about the whole day. I’ve dug my own grave and can’t blame any else but myself.
