Technically it is nine days out, but by this time next week I will be done with all my training. The only thing left will be to register for the race, check out the Ironman store and expo area, practice swim around the course Friday morning, drop of my bike Friday afternoon, eat, sleep and then block out the fact that I am not the person I was last year, and do what I can with the person I am now.

Treatment and training plan for the coming 3 weeks
So last weekend I started biking again. Better late than never, but even I know there is not much I can do now that will get me ready for a good race in Kalmar. But I can do what I can to make sure I will enjoy my day.
After my last two rides I have noticed that my hands go numb, and my back tightens up making it harder to breathe. Today I met up with Leon and I think we found the problem areas to work on. I will meet with Leon twice next week and one last time a week before Kalmar. It’s only been a few hours since we met, but I can really feel a difference just sitting at my desk and walking around the office. I will try to be better at my stretching and exercises, go for some longer rides and see what happens next Monday when we meet up again.

Christmas in June
It is not something that you see everyday, but my wife was witness.

Magic hands and training friends
I have said it before and I will say it again, anyone who leads an active life really needs to find a someone they can trust to help them keep their body going; a massage therapist, a physical therapist or a naprapath.
Over two years ago I was introduced to Leon Hobro from Dynamic Training & Rehab. He kept my body going through my IM training and has been a big part in my return to training and my new goals with SwimRun this summer.

Back fixed, three fun workouts & my first injury
Tuesday lunch I paid a visit to Leon at Dynamic Training and got my back worked on. It always amazes me how better I feel afterwards. Anyone who trains hard should really get in contact with your local massage therapist/trainer. It really does make a difference.
A summary of Dec and a look back on 2014
For the 4th month in a row, training has been an after thought, last minute planning thing to squeeze in. But not because the desire to work out was not there, but my new tattoo caused me to miss a swim practice, then another Sunday I stood on the side to coach my newbies and help them get updated base times for this winter/spring swim training. I missed then a few more swim practices because of another week in Dubai and then it was Christmas break. But there was no good reason for me not to run or bike more. I did manage to get more time in the gym in December than I did the rest of the year.
My December had the least amount of training since Sept 2013 when I broke my collarbone.

Oct & Nov Training Summary
With two weeks of travel in both Oct and Nov, my planned rest during Sept has turned into three months of cosy, feel good training. However, I have been more active this Sept-Nov compared to last year. And with only one plan trip in Dec I am hoping to finish off the year strong.

Swimrun Team – TYR Warriors
As many of you may already know. Fredrik Björn and I have decided to test out Swimrun next summer.
I am happy to announce that we are lucky enough to have two companies backing us. TYR Sverige will be providing us with the aquatic equipment we need for the races and Leon Hobra from Dynamic Training & Rehab will make sure we are fit for fight come race day. Our team name was going to be Ironman & Phantom, but we changed to to TYR Warriors. Continue reading
Bloging is fun….
During the past three years I have post nearly 100 blogs on Funbeat (a really great Swedish site for registering workouts, discussing training and as well races in the forum). I have even tried posting race reports on TriScore (a fun site that lets endurance athletes compare results from variouos types of races; OW, Triathlon, Running, Biking, Swimrun…)
