Friday-Sunday was the Swedish Nationals for Masters Swimming. I get out of my fitness test around 12:45 and make my way to the hotel. I get to rest in my room until just before 4pm. By then the majority of the evening swimmers are also in the pool area.

Lactate & VO2 Max test
Last Friday I had the opportunity to take a few test at Aktivitus in Stockholm. I booked the 10:30-12:30 test so I would have time to recover before the afternoon session at Nationals.
I take the 6am train and arrive in Stockholm at 9:40. Dump my suitcase in a locker and jump on the metro out to Solna.
Intervju: Jonas Andersson
For my Swedish speaking friends.
This is an interview with a teammate of mine about his SwimRun experiences.

8th Best Masters Team in Sweden
So this past weekend was the Swedish Nationals for Masters in longcourse. Looking back on my Friday post, I can’t help but laugh at how much I misjudged my readiness.
Had I not been the coach, I think I would have gone home after the first event. That’s how bad it was for me in the pool. But I love the atmosphere at swim meets, and I had four teammates that were prepared to swim well.

Just when things were starting to go my way…
I get sent away for another business trip. Just before lunch today I found out that I am going back to Dubai. Leaving tomorrow morning and coming back to Sweden on Thursday the 20th. That means I miss a few swim sessions, crossfit and outdoor running.
Winter Challenge – 1500m swimming + 5km running
This post is an attempt to build a larger participation in this years Winter Challenge on Funbeat.
This will be the fourth winter in a row that I challenge my work out friends on Funbeat to a swim run event. Each year the number of people participating as increased and the times are getting better and better.
The rules are simple:
- Swim 1500m – without the ad of equipment
- Run 5km – times from a treadmill not allowed
Someone even came up with the events hashtag #ryknosaqua.
