Like a kid waiting for Christmas morning….

The following is a translated blog from my Funbeat account.

Yesterday (17 sept) registration for my two favorite 11.3 triathlons opened, Tjörn & Vansbro. As much as I would love to register for both I can’t. I agreed with Jeanette to only do four big races 2015. Stockholm Swimrun, Kustjagaren Swimrun, Kalmar Ironman and on more. The “one more” is my problem.

“Hej

Thanks for your application.

A selection committee will present the Swedish team for Age Group World Championships in long distance Triathlon no later than the 21st of september 2014.”

It would be so cool to compete for Sweden at Worlds. The race is in Motola Sweden, only 3 hours from me. I went to Masters a Worlds in swimming in 2010 and it’s such a great experience.

So now I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I’m going to be one of the lucky M40-44 that will represent Sweden the 27th of June at Worlds. Twenty spots are already taken from this years Swedish Nationals so only ten are left for those who are trying to get a spot based on results from other races. My goal time if accepted is 7:25-7:55.

Triathlon is extremely popular in Sweden and those that participate are REALLY good. My chances of being selected are slim, but it never hurts to try.
